My Grandma

My maternal grandmother (the last of my grandparents) passed away yesterday evening. She wasn't doing well since last week. We were praying for her ardently.
My heart tells me that she is with Jesus. She received the Anointing of the Sick and passed away peacefully and all her 7 children were there with her.
She is named after St. Ann. And I don't think it is a coincidence that she passed away on the Eve of the Feast of Sts. Ann and Joachim. St. Ann, patron of grandparents, pray for my dear grandma.

We are miles away from our home country and will not be able to attend the funeral. We love you and will miss you grandma.

  5. Oh, so sorry for your loss, sweet friend! My grandmother is also an Ann, and one of my fears is that she will pass before I make it home to see her. Praying for you and your family...both those far and near.

  10. Blessed Be- I am so sorry for your loss. It is very beautiful that she passed away after receiving anointing of the sick in the presence of all of her children on the feast day of Sts. Ann & Joachim. I am also sorry that you will not be able to attend her services. I pray for her and your family and for you, too. Maybe you be filled with the peace of the Holy Spirit. Take care. -J

  12. I am sorry you have to mourn from far away but am glad she was surrounded by her children. My grandparents live in Poland and I will most likely miss their funerals as well. I understand how hard that must be. Prayers for you.
